Last Saturday was Riley and Addison's family bday party. It was A LOT of fun. We had yummy pizzas and cupcakes (Tinkerbell and Cars).
Addison and Hayden had a lot of fun dressing up in the Princess outfits :o)
Lots of presents for both the kids...
The kids enjoyed the cupcakes ... Riley, Addison, Hayden, Mackenzie and Olivia
And then of course ... Bryan being silly :0) I think he really liked the princess wand ... he was making wishes with it (just ask my dad) LOL
Pippy wasn't able to come to the bday party so ... no pics of her on this blog ... but no worries, there will be plenty to come.
I got to see my grandma's new apt in Woodbury earlier this week. It is SO nice. I can not waitfor her to be down here and only 20 minutes away from me. I really think she will like the assisted living once she gets use to it. It'll be a HUGE change for her but it's a good one and a needed one. I'm glad she is finally feeling better and more peppy. A lil more back to normal. It was a hard and scary couple of weeks there not knowing what was going on and what to do to help her. But the surgery seems to have helped and she is getting her up and go back :0) well as much as she can.
I am NOT liking this snowy weather. I was enjoying the 30 degree days. Pippy and I were walking again and enjoying the outside. Now she just gets buried in the snow when she goes out :0( poor pup! LOL Hopefully this will be it and spring will come but I'm not holding my breath because it is Minnesota and it could still snow in May. Lets hope not though.

Our trip up to Sturgeon Lake ....
So this past weekend, I took Riley and Addison (and Pippy) up to my parents for the weekend. I was a fun and busy weekend. I'm so not use to being up at 6:30 on the weekends and going, going, going....plus I was helping my mom get my grandma home from the hospital and all settled so that kept us busy. It gave Papa some good bonding time with the kids :0) I didn't get to see any of my peeps tho :0( That was sad but schedules are busy and I wanted to spend time with my grandma so that made it hard. I did get to see peeps that I use to work with at Mercy tho. That was nice. It's been 4 yrs since I moved to Forest Lakes. How time flies ... and how things change. I felt bad that I was away on Valentine's Day (our first one together at that) so Bryan spent his Valentine's with Collin. LOL Which is probably better for him anyways since I don't really like or believe in the whole day anyways. I had the 2 cutest and sweetest Valentine's that day anyways :0)
The kids kept Pippy very busy ... she didn't get her usually 20 naps in. So she spent all day Sunday and today (Monday) sleeping to catch up. She was very worn out. Here are pics from the weekend ....
Addi kept us laughing with her "just too tired" attitude :0)
Addi and Riley had fun wearing Papa's shoes around
Addi pushing her baby around ... and Riley coloring
Riley and Addi built a fort to hide from Papa and then to scare him
Papa took the kids and Pippy outside to play ... it was pretty chilly out tho so just for a short time
Nana read stories
some rest and snack time
playtime with pippy and pippy giving her evil eyes LOL
Addi spent enough time under the couch trying to find Pippy (that poor pup just wanted a break)

A movie filled weekend for us
The weather was SO nice this weekend ... I wish it would stay til Spring but I don't think that is going to happen. Ice storms are on the way :0( Not too excited to drive in the morning ....
We took Pippers out on a a nice long walk today....she was excited to be outside and enjoying the weather. I think her snowsuit worked good at keeping her toasty since she is still not very furry. She was pretty wiped out when we got home.
excited to go on a walk
all tired out
Bryan and I watched the movie "Fireproof" this weekend ... it was so good. I wasn't sure how he'd like it ... since it's a "girly" movie as he says but he did enjoy it. I wouldn't exactly call it a "girly" flick. It is a must see for any married couple or even couples in general. It is just a very good movie. Then we watched "Transformers" ... I hadn't seen it before. And I have to say I really liked it. We figured I better watch it before the 2nd one comes out LOL ...
I went and saw "He's Just Not That Into You" with my sister tonight. It was good. Ginnifer Goodwin is very cute in it. She does a really good job with her character. It was a cute movie. I'm glad I saw it. Bryan stayed home and cleaned out closets ... lucky him :0)
I'm excited for next weekend already because I am finally going up north (to my parents) for the weekend. I get to see my grams and all my peeps that I haven't seen in so long. And I'm taking Riley with me for sure and maybe Addison. Fun for nana and papa as well :0) (and of course Pippers will be along for the adventure) ...
Pippy seems to have found herself a new bed .... it is the down pillowtop for our bed. We took it off to wash and it hasn't made it back on yet ... I think if Pippy has anything to say about it, I will stay off LOL

Super Bowl Sunday
We didn't do anything too exciting for Super Bowl Sunday...as you can tell Pippy was very entertained :0) LOL
Bryan grilled burgers and hot dogs for us. Poor Kayla wasn't feeling good :0( There is still 2:30 minutes left in the game and Arizona just scored a TD :0( Dang ... I'm rooting for the Steelers. Bryan is rooting for the Cardinals ... since they've never been before. Whatever works, I guess? I didn't seem like there were as many of the regular Super Bowl commercials as usual. Kind of disappointing but I suppose with all the economy stuff, it's not surprising.
Kayla, Nana and I got our hair done by Bryan's cousin Hallie on Saturday ... YAY on getting my hair done. I don't know why but it always feels good after it's done.
We were talking about what a HERO Chesley Sullenberger is. At least in my opinion he is. I had gotten a magazine and it had the whole story plus stories from the passengers in it and I was just amazed. Everyone on the plane survived, how cool is that? He was meant to be flying that plane ... I just think it is amazing that he was able to think clear enough at that time to fly into the river instead of landing on ground where it would of obviously have been a tradegy.
I'm on the 3rd book of the Twilight series, Eclipse. They are so addicting. I think when I finished the series, I'm going to re-read it. I so can NOT wait for New Moon to be out in movie. Even though the books are SOOOO much better. But Robert Patteson does an awful good job as Edward and I could for sure sit thru 2 hours of watching him again :0) LOL
Well 35 seconds left and Steelers got a TD so I think that means STEELERS win :0) YAY!! I know one house that is gonna be celebrating long into the night .... (not mine LOL)
A couple more pics of Pippers (as Addi now so affectionately calls her too) before I say "Goodnight"..... she is modeling her referee outfit. She was kind of acting goofy when I was trying to take these pics .... oh well, she's still cute :0) And her fur is already starting to grow back. Thank goodness for the nice days we've had ... so she doesn't freeze as bad. Poor Pippers :0(
